(d)  Personal consultation on risk management and hedging considerations

*Full-Service commission rates are based on trading frequency, contracts traded and amount of broker assistance actually required.  Full-service commission rates typically range from $40-$95 per round-turn and may vary from customer to customer.

Self-Directed Account.  Our self-directed account plan offers commodity futures trading at discounted commission rates. This plan is designed for traders who are self-reliant when making commodity futures trading decisions and tracking trades.  This plan also includes personal service and attention of a CFOS commodity broker at the client's request, though limited.

Experienced commodity futures traders may either call in their orders to our commodity brokerage desk or may take advantage of online commodity futures trading platforms offered by our FCM's.  The self-directed account plan offers special access directly to the trading floor for qualified accounts and additional commission discounts for active traders.

*Please note that self-directed online trading is only available to experienced commodity traders who are proficient in all aspects of futures trading from order placement to monitoring margins.  Inexperienced self-directed traders must place their orders via telephone.

*Self-Directed commission rates are based on trading frequency, contracts traded and amount of broker assistance actually required.  Self-Directed commission rates typically range from $15-$40 per round-turn and may vary from customer to customer.

Online Trading Account.  *Please note that online commodity futures trading accounts are available only to experienced commodity traders who are proficient in all aspects of futures trading from order placement to monitoring margins.  Inexperienced traders must place their orders via telephone.

Benefits of online commodity futures trading include:

Online Trading accounts will also have telephone access to our commodity brokerage desk as well as a telephone number directly to the respective FCM's 24-hour futures brokerage desk in the event that a client is unable to operate the order entry software due to power, computer or software failure.  The Technical Service Departments for our online clients are friendly, knowledgeable and stand ready to assist you in downloading and installing the order entry software.  They are prepared to troubleshoot any problem you may have at a moment's notice.

*Online Trading commission rates are based on trading frequency, contracts traded and amount of broker assistance actually required.  Online Trading commission rates typically range from $15-$30 per round-turn and may vary from customer to customer.

Managed Futures Account.  Managed Futures accounts are for the individual or institutional investor who is simultaneously performance oriented and risk conscious when considering portfolio investments.  Portfolio diversification may reduce portfolio volatility and risk while potentially enhancing returns, and Managed Futures can be used to either establish a new portfolio or complement an existing one.  Please be aware that investments in managed futures accounts typically start around $20-30K, and many money manages may have required minimum investments of six or seven figures.

Managed Futures accounts utilize the abilities of professional Commodity Trading Advisors (CTA's) with experience, discipline, and track records of past and present trading results in the commodity markets.  CTA's must register with the CFTC and are regulated by the CFTC and NFA.  Unlike unregulated hedge funds, CTA's are required by the federal regulatory agencies to provide trading results and account statements on a frequent basis.  Virtually all aspects of the CTA's investment program are covered in a "Disclosure Document" that each and every investor must acknowledge, understand and agree to prior to acceptance into the respective CTA investment program.

Since 1988, CFOS has seen the managed futures sector explode with a tremendous influx of new investor funds.  However, with the Managed Futures sector growing exponentially over the last decade, so have the number of commodity investment programs.  Knowing what to look for and how to compare so many different managed commodity investments is no easy task.  The experienced professionals at CFOS can assist you to ensure the proper selection of a futures money manager, with your individual financial objectives and risk considerations in mind.
